Erin Kilpatrick, LMFT

Since 2011, I’ve been dedicated to supporting teens, young adults, and families in navigating the challenges that come with anxiety, depression, trauma, and identity exploration. My focus is on empowering queer, trans, neurodivergent, and disabled individuals, helping them feel seen, understood, and equipped to thrive in the face of life’s complexities.

I specialize in working with teens and adults who may be struggling with trauma, self-doubt, or feeling “out of place.” I have advanced training in complex trauma treatment, including Progressive Counting and Child & Parent Psychotherapy, and I am currently completing training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which is particularly effective for healing trauma.

In our work together, I draw from humanistic, psychodynamic, narrative, and somatic approaches, tailoring each session to meet your unique needs. I also incorporate evidence-based interventions such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and harm reduction techniques to help you build resilience, self-compassion, and a greater sense of agency. Whether we’re addressing suicidal ideation, identity exploration, or the impact of systemic oppression, my goal is to create a safe, affirming space for growth and healing.

As someone deeply committed to equitable and competent care, I recognize that the therapeutic process does not exist in a vacuum—it is inherently shaped by the broader systems of privilege and oppression we navigate daily. I approach my work with a clear understanding of these dynamics, aiming to disrupt cycles of harm and foster empowerment.

If you’re a teen, young adult, or parent looking for a therapist who understands the unique challenges of navigating neurodivergence, disability, or marginalized identities, I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your journey. Together, we can work toward healing, connection, and a stronger sense of self.
